
The AI for Good Global Summit 2026 is the United Nations’ leading platform on artificial intelligence, bringing together over 120 international teams from 60 countries. The summit is organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with over 50 UN Sister Agencies and co-convened with the Government of Switzerland.
The summit focuses on unlocking AI’s potential to serve humanity through three core pillars. The Solutions & Knowledge pillar develops AI standards to create opportunities for innovation and digital transformation worldwide. The Skills & Capacity pillar empowers people with tools and knowledge to thrive in the AI era, nurturing future innovators. The Standards & Policy pillar facilitates exchanges between key stakeholders on effective approaches to AI governance.
This year’s summit will feature over 100 cutting-edge AI demonstrations and exhibitions alongside 50 solution and frontier stage sessions. More than 30 expert-level workshops will provide deep dives into specific technologies and applications. The event will showcase 10 startup finalists and include 10 artistic exhibitions and experiences that explore the creative intersection of AI and culture.
Confirmed speakers include notable figures from technology, government, and global organizations. Secretary-General of ITU Doreen Bogdan-Martin will participate alongside Prime Minister of Bhutan H.E. Mr. Tshering Tobgay, TIME CEO Jessica Sibley, and musician-technologist will.i.am. Other speakers include futurist Ray Kurzweil, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, and Google DeepMind’s Joëlle Barral.
The summit explores diverse themes including AI’s impact on work, creativity, food systems, health, and environmental challenges. Sessions will cover AI policy, education, standards development, and emerging technologies like quantum computing and robotics. The Global Dialogue on AI Governance, established under recent UN General Assembly Resolution, will be held alongside the main summit.
