About the Event

WeAreDevelopers World Congress North America brings the world’s largest developer event to the heart of Silicon Valley. This massive gathering attracts over 10,000 developers, AI innovators, and tech leaders to San José for three days of cutting-edge content and networking. The event covers everything from artificial intelligence and software development to emerging technologies and engineering leadership.

The speaker lineup includes industry heavyweights like Thomas Dohmke (former CEO of GitHub), Kelsey Hightower, and executives from companies like Mercedes-Benz, Datadog, and LinkedIn. These influential minds share practical knowledge across the full software lifecycle in the AI era, focusing on real engineering practices and production learnings rather than buzzwords.

Attendees can dive deep into topics ranging from AI engineering with large language models to modern software architecture and production-grade AI systems. The program includes workshops, masterclasses, tech talks, and live coding sessions that address everything from developer productivity to security practices. Sessions cover both technical implementation and strategic leadership for teams navigating the AI transformation.

The event takes place at the San José Convention Center, featuring a massive 200,000 square foot tech expo alongside the main program. Docker serves as the presenting partner, emphasizing the collaborative mission to empower builders and shape the future of software development. The congress also includes networking opportunities, community challenges, and the legendary closing party.
