Grok Bot is built for the last 10%, and that’s exactly where most automation falls apart. xAI has announced Grok Bot, a system of AI agents that each get their own cloud computer, sign into the tools you already use, and complete multi-step work without waiting for you to babysit them.
This isn’t a new chat interface. Bots work across apps, inboxes, websites, and platforms that have no API or MCP support. They log in the way a person would and finish the job. The work lands in the actual tool, the CRM, the inbox, the ticket tracker, not in a summary you still have to act on.
How it actually works
Each Bot has its own persistent computer in the cloud. So when you step away, the job keeps running. You message a Bot the way you’d text a colleague, hand off a task, and it comes back when it needs a judgment call. Not every five minutes. Not with a list of clarifying questions.
Bots also remember. They learn your voice, your edge cases, how you like things structured. After a few tasks, they stop needing re-explanation. One early user said they showed a workflow once and now fully trust it to run indefinitely. Another described going from checking in every 15 minutes to just letting it run.

The comparison to tools like Zapier, Make, or even OpenAI’s Operator is worth making directly. Those products ask you to build workflows first. Grok Bot skips that step. You just message it. No automation setup, no naming conventions, no routing logic to configure. That’s a real difference for teams who want to delegate work today, not after a two-week onboarding.
Still, the product is in beta. Reliability at scale, especially across apps where it’s screen-reading rather than using an API, will be the thing to watch. But if the internal usage at xAI is any indication, the floor for what these agents can handle is already higher than most people expect.
