Granola raises 125 million dollars at 1.5 billion dollar valuation to turn meeting notes into company wide AI context

Granola just picked up 125 million dollars in fresh capital. The AI notetaker that sits on your computer and captures meeting context without dropping bots into calls now sits at a 1.5 billion dollar valuation after the Series C round. Index Ventures led the deal through partner Danny Rimer while Kleiner Perkins came in via Mamoon Hamid and prior investors Lightspeed Spark and NFDG joined again. 💰

Founded in 2023 Granola has grown fast because conversation transcripts often hold richer details than documents or emails. Companies such as Vanta Gusto Thumbtack and Asana use it along with startups including Cursor Lovable Decagon and Mistral AI. Cofounder and CEO Chris Pedregal wrote that the goal stays simple. Make company context easy to access inside Granola and everywhere else people already work.

New team features expand the product beyond solo use 📝

The round coincides with several updates. Spaces let teams organize and share notes with clear access controls. Users get a Team Space for group work plus My Notes for personal or selective sharing. Folders inside spaces support nested structures and filters by company or person. Granola Chat sits inside these spaces powered by the latest Claude GPT and Gemini models so people can ask questions about past calls sales losses or user needs and even generate briefs from the data.

New APIs give access to notes on business and enterprise plans while an Enterprise API helps admins manage team context. Admins now see usage stats such as active users and top note takers without reading actual content. Other controls include SSO SCIM consent management and scheduled transcript deletion. Read the official announcement for full details on Index Ventures perspective on the round and Kleiner Perkins view on enterprise AI infrastructure.

Integrations position Granola as context layer for AI agents 🔗

Granola already works as an official connector in tools from Claude and ChatGPT to Lovable Figma Make Replit Manus v0 Bolt.new Duckbill and Dreamer with more partners expected. It also updated its MCP integration for better folder and shared note visibility. These moves turn meeting data into fuel for AI agents that need accurate company specific knowledge to act effectively.

Coverage in TechCrunch on the valuation jump and enterprise shift and Bloomberg on Silicon Valley adoption of the notetaker highlights how the product gained traction without the usual meeting bot friction. Granola has now raised 192 million dollars total. With the cash it plans to keep building so that context flows naturally into every workflow rather than staying locked in scattered notes. The company said more app updates sit just around the corner. In a crowded AI productivity space the bet here centers on making meetings the richest data source for the next wave of agentic systems.
