Turns your business files into answers, automated workflows, and finished work using natural language.
Most cloud drives are glorified filing cabinets. They hold your stuff, and that is about where the relationship ends. Fastio wants a bigger job.
The pitch is simple. Your files already hold everything your company knows, so Fastio reads them, acts on them, and gets work done on top of them. You ask a plain question, like which contracts renew in the next 90 days, and Ripley, the built-in AI, answers across thousands of documents and shows you the source. No opening files one at a time. No guessing.
Here is the part I find clever. You describe a routine in plain English, and your agent sets it up and runs it. Tell it that every new client gets an engagement letter sent for signature, then filed, then flagged for review. It maps your words to real steps, and you approve before anything runs. That is automation without the flowchart, and I think a lot of people have been waiting for exactly that.
Then there are Metadata Views, which might be the sleeper feature. Point them at a messy folder of scanned notices or contracts, write one sentence, and the AI pulls dates, parties, and dollar amounts into a sortable table. Handwriting included. It even suggests the columns. Suddenly, your pile of PDFs behaves like a database.
Fastio comes from the MediaFire team, so the storage muscle is real, and it shows in a media engine that streams 4K video right in the browser. It plays nicely with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Cursor through a single connection, plus electronic signatures, branded client portals, and an audit log that records every move. Pricing is tiered, with a credit-based usage model and a 14-day trial. That lands a notch above the cheapest consumer drives, but it bundles things that Box and Dropbox usually sell as extras.
What might bug you? Credits do not roll over, and the security certifications reside with the infrastructure partners rather than Fastio itself. The product is young enough that polish and additional features are still arriving.
Our advice. Start with one annoying manual task you repeat every week. Describe it to the agent, watch a single real run, and decide from there.
